Complete video

The film is complete

After trying decide on how we could develop the story, we have wasted rather a lot of time and the deadline has grown closer. Due to the short time period we have given ourselves to complete the task we have decided to improve the editing of the video rather than making it longer.
Since making the decision we have completed our video and have burnt it on to a disk and have also added it to our Youtube accounts my link: http://www.youtube.com/user/jakeclaridge1994. Now that we have completed this stage we will now analyse our work as a group and individually, as part of the analysis I will compare my project with the real songs in real life video as well as analysing it on its own picking out the factors that I liked and disliked.

Todays work

Today the computers had crashed and we were unsure what we needed to film next due to this we decided to dedicate our lesson to story boarding. We have also considered making another short film of the same length rather than one single longer video, this would be a sensible solution to our current situation as we are unsure where to take our video to as we feel it has reached the end of its story.

A good day

Since my last post I realised that I did not have a lesson yesterday and I also did not have any frees with the dream team members we did not complete what I had planned.

Today we looked through our video and focused on areas that required improvement, after this we decided to go and re-film so scenes to improve the quality, for example all pf the filming we did the other day was of a poor quality because none of the media cameras were available so we resorted to using a standard still image camera which did not provide the best quality film due to filming not being its best aspect, due to this we felt it was necessary to re-attempt it. After re-filming we felt the whole process went much better and it was much simpler and particularly in the sense of time to carry out the tasks as we had already done it before.

Overall I think our work today was very productive and we have achieved a good amount.

Todays work

After returning from half term we continued with our project. On Tuesday I had an exam so Lucas and Chris added the music to the film clips that we edited on Adobe Premiere, after talking to them about their progress they informed me that the process went well except for an issue with the timing of the music and the movement of the characters mouth.
Today we were all available for the exam as we have all completed our exams. After having a week off to think of ideas for our storyline we put together our ideas and created the next stage of our story board. Once we had completed this process we began filming, due to our previous decision to use ourselves in the video finding a cast was not an issue, for todays filming Lucas and Chris were the cast, and I carried out the filming excluding  a clip that Chris filmed. When making the storyboard we all coincidentally thought of the exact same place to shoot the clip as it represented the image and ton we wanted to deliver.
Overall todays filming went well and we achieved what we aimed to do during the lesson, next lesson we intend to edit the film we have done so far and then get the cameras out again and continue with shooting.
